My studio portrait sittings are informal and relaxed, I prefer the ‘high key’ style which uses a white background as this is effective in capturing relaxed photographs and is suitable for all, especially children. This style works best with casual clothing, but I would suggest avoiding large patterns, football shirts, or clothing with large letters, numbers or logos as these can distract the eye away from the subject/ person.
Other darker ‘traditional’ backgrounds are available if you prefer or you may dress formally, it is your choice and whatever you are comfortable with will result in better photographs.
Sometimes bare feet gives a more natural feel and adds to the relaxed atmosphere, particularly with babies and small children, but be aware that socks and shoes can leave marks on their feet and ankles, so remove them in plenty of time.
A sitting fee of £20 is required when booking.
Allow approximately 1 hour for your sitting.
Photographs are usually taken at my studio in St Austell, or I can meet you at a location. A £20 session fee covers a 15-mile radius of St Austell.
To view your pictures you have the choice of a digital presentation in the studio, or they can be viewed and purchased through the website.
I also offer you a range of modern frames for single or multi-images and canvas prints.
